Just when you think you’ve got all the teams figured out Cleveland goes and destroys Baltimore in the first half. I went 2-4 last week bringing my season total to 7-11.
For week 5 of the NFL I am picking:
Houston Texans to win by 4pts. Houston gets to face the lowly Miami Dolphins this week. Home field advantage and Matt Schaub is enough to give Houston the nod in this one. Odds 1.50
Tennessee Titans to win by 4pts. The Titans have had a good year so far and are coming off a bye week to face the Atlanta Falcons. The Titans have home field advantage, 2 weeks to prepare, and Vince Young. Take the Titans. Odds 1.30
Dallas Cowboys to win by 8pts. Dallas passed the Bears test 2 weeks ago with flying colours and destroyed the ST. Louis Rams last week. The Buffalo Bills, even with Edwards playing well at QB, aren’t talented enough to compete with the Cowboys. This will be an easy game for the Boys. Odds 1.40
Arizona Cardinals to win by 4pts. The Cardinals have shown some real promise with veteran Kurt Warner at QB. The St. Louis Rams, who haven’t won a game, are without their starting QB, are likely going 0-5 to start the season. Odds 1.80
Green Bay Packers to win by 4pts. Green Bay is at home this week and Brett Favre has shown why he is considered one of the all time great quarterbacks this season. Favre passed Dan Marino for throwing the most career touchdowns in the NFL. The Chigaco Bears have injuries on defence and they are still trying to find a QB who won’t turnover the ball. Odds 1.80
Baltimore Ravens to win by 4pts. The Ravens will be on the road this week to face the San Fransisco 49ers. The 49ers will be without their starting QB again and really haven’t proven to be a team that can compete week in and week out. Last week Steve McNair passed for over 300 yards in a losing cause. Look for him to do the same this week except get the win. Odds 1.90
This week’s payout based on a $2 bet is: $2 x (1.5×1.3×1.4×1.8×1.8×1.9) = $33.60
